McDonough, N.Y.

The McDonough Village Union Cemetery Association (MVUCA) has agreed to kick off a cemetery restoration project to help preserve some of our history. There are several stones which need restoration and/or repair. Quite a few headstones and markers have been toppled/broken by time and weather. Others are so old they cannot be read. Our restoration project would include cleaning the stones, new bases when needed, repairing the broken ones, and having them repaired/restored by a professional restoration company. As always, the support from our community members is very important to us. It is in part with your generous donations that we are able to maintain the beauty and integrity of our cemetery. If you have family interred in MVUC and would like to restore/repair their stone on your own, please contact us at the address below, private message us through Facebook Messenger of our official email: and we will send a list of Rules and Regulations. Now is the time to help beautify your local cemetery. A small donation from a score of people would make a considerable difference. The MVUCA has agreed to donate $1,000 to kick off this restoration project. We will be opening a fund set aside specifically for this project and donations can be made by sending your contribution to:

We would also like to take this opportunity to thank all those who have made contributions this year to our cemetery. It is in part with your financial help that we are able to maintain the cemetery. Thank You again for your support.
